This park is open all year and is free to enter outside of the Memorial Day to Labor Day time.
A great park for the whole family. Amenities include a swimming beach complete with lifeguards, a beach, and beach house. The swimming beach is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day and entrance during this time costs $5 per person.
Great trails for hiking or biking. Also a disc golf course. A beautiful lake with fishing as well.
So much fun. I come here to mountain bike, hike, swim, and generally have fun with my family and friends.
I had my sons birthday party here last year and it was great. I chose its location because the pavilion is in a shady area with views of the lake, and the playground and swimming beach are in close proximity. A built in grill and picinic tables was another feature i liked, but i did have to bring a few extra tables to set food/cake/games up on. The swimming beach also has a playground that has shade, and a few built in umbrellas, but on days its busy you may want to bring your own shade source. There is a bath house and a snack shack during the summer. Also a little side note, the sand on the beach is a little pebbley, not as soft as other swimming beaches ive been to.
Wonderful hiking trails and a great swimming beach in the summer. Entrance fee between Memorial Day and Labor Day, so make sure to take advantage of those nice spring and fall days without a fee.
We were looking for a playground as there aren't very many in the area. The playground is new but very small with not much equipment. More appropriate for young children.
